What is SNAP-8?
SNAP-8 is the trade name for acetyl octapeptide-3 (also listed as acetyl glutamyl octapeptide-3). It is an eight-amino-acid peptide, Ac-Glu-Glu-Met-Gln-Arg-Arg-Ala-Asp-NH2, based on part of SNAP-25, a protein involved in releasing nerve signals. Its first six amino acids match acetyl hexapeptide-3 (Argireline), extended by two more.
