What is Selank?
Selank is a synthetic peptide of seven amino acids (a heptapeptide) with the sequence Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro. It is an analogue of tuftsin, a short peptide naturally produced in the body, extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail. It was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Selank compared with related peptides
- N-Acetyl Selank is a chemically modified (acetylated) form of Selank and a different compound.
- Semax is another short synthetic peptide developed in Russia and often researched alongside Selank.
Available sizes: 5mg and 10mg
Selank is offered in two vial sizes, 5mg and 10mg. Both contain the same compound. The figure is the total amount of peptide in the vial, supplied as a dry (lyophilised) powder; it is not a concentration. A concentration only exists once a lab dissolves the powder, and it depends on how much solvent is used, so the 10mg vial is not “stronger”, it simply holds twice as much material.
