What is tirzepatide?
Tirzepatide is a synthetic 39-amino-acid peptide developed by Eli Lilly that activates two incretin hormone receptors: glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). A C20 fatty diacid side chain lets it bind albumin and extends its half-life.
Tirzepatide product specifications
- Compound: tirzepatide
- Type: GIP and GLP-1 receptor dual agonist peptide (39 amino acids, lipidated)
- Molecular formula: C225H348N48O68
- Molecular weight: about 4813.5 g/mol
- Vial sizes: 10mg, 15mg, 20mg, 30mg, 40mg and 60mg
Available sizes: 10mg to 60mg
All sizes contain the same compound. The figure is the total amount of peptide in the vial, supplied as a dry powder; it is not a concentration, so a larger vial is not “stronger”, it simply holds more material. The 60mg vial holds six times as much as the 10mg vial. Tell us which size you need when you contact us on Telegram or by email.
How tirzepatide differs from related peptides
- Retatrutide adds a third target, the glucagon receptor.
- Mazdutide and survodutide act on GLP-1 and glucagon instead of GIP.
- Semaglutide, in our cagrilintide and semaglutide listing, acts on the GLP-1 receptor only.
Regulatory status
Tirzepatide is the active ingredient of prescription medicines (Mounjaro and Zepbound) that are available only through a prescriber. This product is research material, not those medicines, and is sold for laboratory research use only. The FDA has named tirzepatide in warning letters to sellers, stating that a “research use only” label does not make it lawful to market such products for human use.
Handling and research-use notice
Store and handle this material as stated on the label and certificate of analysis for your batch; see our guide to storing research peptides. This product is sold for laboratory research use only. It is not a medicine or supplement and is not for human or veterinary use.
